**In short:** Criminal complaints: we take down your account and your evidence, formalise the complaint with its records and send it to the competent authority, with the filing receipt. We process your complaint ourselves from start to finish, with our own case handler and with no legal advice included, with a written quote before we start and your case visible in your client area. We ask for the documents, messages, photographs or reports you want to provide.

### WHAT IS INCLUDED AND WHAT IS NOT PROMISED

A disorganised complaint is harder to read and to investigate, even where the facts are true. What we do is record faithfully what you tell us, in order, with the evidence attached and numbered, and get it to the right authority.

What it includes: an appearance, in person or by video call, to take down your account; formalising the complaint with its records and the documentary evidence attached; sending it to the competent authority and handing you the filing receipt. What it does not include: it does not include legal advice or representation in the proceedings that follow; if you need them, they are contracted separately with an independent professional. Nor can we guarantee it is admitted: that is for the authority.

#### DOCUMENTS YOU WILL NEED

- A written account of the facts with dates.
- Documents, messages, photographs or medical reports.
- Details of those reported and of any witnesses.

#### INDICATIVE TIMING

We answer your enquiry within 1 working day and send the written quote within 2 working days.

Once your documents are complete, we prepare the file between 2 and 6 working days.

A criminal investigation has an ordinary limit of twelve months, extendable in periods of up to six, and sometimes lasts years; closure or committal for trial comes at the end of that phase.

See [the pricing page](https://iberfacil.es/en/pricing) for how we charge this kind of matter.

### How it works

1. **WHAT IS NEEDED** We listen and check what is needed to formalise the complaint; we do not classify the facts or advise you on strategy.
2. **DOCUMENTS AND PRICE** We ask for the documents, messages, photographs or reports you want to provide. A fixed price in writing, with the extras you choose.
3. **APPEARANCE AND SIGNATURE** At the appearance we take down your account as you give it, attach the evidence with its records and you sign the complaint.
4. **FILING AND RECEIPT** We send it to the competent authority and hand you the complete file with the filing receipt.

#### What to have at hand

- A written account of the facts with dates
- Documents, messages, photographs or medical reports
- Details of those reported and of any witnesses

### Frequently asked questions

COMPLAINT OR PRIVATE PROSECUTION?

A complaint needs no lawyer and is what we handle. A private prosecution requires a lawyer and a court representative, contracted separately.

CAN I WITHDRAW THE COMPLAINT?

For public offences the proceedings continue even if you withdraw. We explain that before filing.

CAN I ASK FOR PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES?

Yes: we record your request and your reasons, as you state them, in a separate record. We do not tell you which measures to ask for: that is legal advice and is contracted separately.

HOW DOES THE URGENCY SURCHARGE WORK?

The urgency surcharge gives priority to formalising your complaint. It does not cover the authority’s response.
