**In short:** Inheritance and succession: declaration of heirs, inventory, deed of partition, inheritance tax and municipal capital gains, and registration of assets in the heirs' names. We handle it ourselves from start to finish, with professionals from our network, with a written quote before we start and your case visible in your client area. We ask for the death certificate, the IDs of the deceased and the heirs and the deeds or statements of the assets.

### WHAT IS INCLUDED AND WHAT IS NOT PROMISED

An inheritance is a chain of procedures with a six-month tax deadline running from the death. What makes an inheritance expensive is rarely the tax: it is starting late and having to ask for an extension or pay a surcharge.

What it includes: obtaining death, wills registry and insurance certificates; inventory of assets and debts and deed of partition; inheritance tax and municipal capital gains filings; registering the properties in the heirs’ names. What it does not include: it does not include court proceedings to divide the estate where the heirs cannot agree, which is separate.

#### DOCUMENTS YOU WILL NEED

- Death certificate.
- Will or notarial declaration of heirs.
- Property deeds and the deceased’s bank statements.
- ID documents of all the heirs.

#### INDICATIVE TIMING

We answer your enquiry within 1 working day and send the written quote within 2 working days.

Once your documents are complete, we prepare the file between 10 and 25 working days.

As a general rule, inheritance tax must be filed within six months of the death; the extension of a further six months must be requested within the first five. Land Registry registration adds weeks.

See [the pricing page](https://iberfacil.es/en/pricing) for how we charge this kind of matter.

### How it works

1. **HEIRS, ASSETS AND DEBTS** We check whether there is a will, who the heirs are and what assets and debts the deceased leaves, and explain the steps that follow.
2. **DOCUMENTS AND QUOTE BY STAGES** We ask for the death certificate, the IDs of the deceased and the heirs and the deeds or statements of the assets. Agreed price per stage.
3. **CERTIFICATES, INVENTORY AND PARTITION** We obtain the last-will and insurance certificates, draw up the inventory and draft the partition document.
4. **TAX AND REGISTRATION** We settle the inheritance tax and the municipal capital gains tax on time and register the properties in the heirs' names.

#### What to have at hand

- Death certificate and wills registry certificate
- Will or notarial declaration of heirs
- Property deeds and the deceased’s bank statements
- ID documents of all the heirs

### Frequently asked questions

THERE IS NO WILL.

A notarial declaration of heirs is made. It is one more step and it is in the quote.

CAN I RENOUNCE THE INHERITANCE?

Yes, but it is irrevocable and must be done before tacit acceptance. We explain the consequences.

ONE HEIR IS MISSING OR WILL NOT SIGN.

There are ways to unblock it, including through the courts. We tell you which applies.
