What is said in the first statement shapes everything afterwards, and that statement usually happens before anyone has read the police report. Arriving with the defence prepared is the single biggest difference in criminal proceedings.
What it includes: legal assistance at the police station or the court; review of the police report and of the steps already taken; defence strategy, written defence and trial. What it does not include: it does not include court agent representation or your own expert reports, which are provisioned separately.
