RD 1155/2024 created this route for exactly the case that previously had no way out: you lost your permit when a renewal failed, and returned to irregularity after years in order. The first step is checking your situation fits.
What it includes: checking your history fits the second-chance route; reconstructing the documentary record of your earlier status and how it was lost; filing the application and following it up. What it does not include: we cannot guarantee the permit or speed up the authority: the immigration office or the ministry decides in its own time.
Documents you will need
- Full valid passport.
- Municipal registration certificate, historical if you have it.
- Residence card or earlier decision, if any.
- Earlier grant decisions and the refused renewal.
- Employment history for the period when you were in order.
